Join us in welcoming Rebecca Kline to our Entrepreneurial Leadership Rotation Program! Prior to Kipsu, Rebecca studied Anthropology and French at Macalester College. In her free time, Rebecca enjoys playing ultimate frisbee, petting dogs, and watching HGTV! We're so excited to have her a part of the Kipsu team and asked her to chat about her experience at Kipsu so far
What drew you to Kipsu in contrast to other companies?
I had heard about Kipsu’s reputation as a customer-centered, people-focused company. I was an Anthropology major in college, so this kind of focus definitely intrigued me. I was also excited about the social atmosphere — people seemed friendly and helpful without sacrificing any work ethic.
What were some things you noticed about the Kipsu team during your first week?
I tend to ask a lot of questions when I’m put in an unfamiliar setting, and starting at Kipsu was no exception. During my first week, I noticed how willing — and almost excited — people were to answer my questions! I have never felt like I was bothering anyone by asking a question or confirming a detail, and I really appreciated that from the start.
What challenges are you looking forward to tackling in your work at Kipsu?
I’m looking forward to adjusting to three different positions within a year. The rotation program allows me to explore all areas of Kipsu, so I’ll get a new manager and different tasks every four months. I’m really excited to see how I work in each of these fields and to connect with co-workers from all parts of the company!
What is your favorite Kipsu core value?
My favorite core value is Go Beyond Together. I’ve always loved working in a group, and Kipsu’s work ethic exemplifies this value. Going beyond together is exciting when you have co-workers who are so enthusiastic and bright, and I’m looking forward to see what we can accomplish in the future!
If you could meet any person for a chat over a shared dinner, who would you pick and why?
I would love to chat with Jon Krakauer about his hiking adventures. I’ve read four of his books in the past couple months and loved all of them, but particularly Into Thin Air and Into the Wild. His incisive, story-telling writing style makes me think he would be pretty great dinner company.
