Welcome Aazib to the team!

What were you up to before joining Kipsu?

I was studying Business Management at Gustavus Adolphus college. Along with that I was Interning at a clothing line and working on my startup.

What are some things you enjoy doing outside of work?

Some of my hobbies include, playing soccer and video games. I also like to watch Basketball/UFC/Soccer and tech talks.

What drew you to Kipsu in contrast to other companies?

Realizing the value that Kipsu adds to the world and seeing how a lot of industries could benefit from a product like this. Also, I knew that there was no better way to start my career than through a rotation program where i'll be put in 3 different teams for 4 months and will get to solve new problems everyday and just that process of learning new things everyday sounded really exciting to me.

What were some things you noticed about the Kipsu team during your first week?

As soon as I joined, I got to see how amazing the company culture was and that everything i was told during the interview process was absolutely true. I really liked how there was a lot of focus on collaboration and how well connected all the teams were with each other and I got to see all that happen right away at the company wide All-Hands meeting.

What challenges are you looking forward to tackling in your work at Kipsu?

The challenge that i'm excited about working on is building products for the new markets that we plan to enter and there is always uncertainty when going into new markets but that uncertainty and new problem-to-solve side of things is what excites me so i'm looking forward to tackling that and making sure that every market we get into turns out to be a winner.

What is your favorite Kipsu core value and why?

"Never Be Satisfied" is my favorite Kipsu core value because I believe there is always a better way to do something which you're not aware of at the moment, so there is always something new to learn and you should always keep chasing for that next step of Improvement and that comes with having the mindset to be never satisfied.

If you could pick any person for a chat over a shared dinner, who would you pick and why?

Khabib Nurmagomedov - He is the greatest UFC fighter ever with a 29-0 record and he retired last year at the age 32. I think he has a very interesting story so I would like to learn more about that and get familiar with his views on fight related specifics and also ask him if we can spar sometime.
