What were you up to before joining Kipsu?

I was a Product Analyst at Infinite Campus on the Learning Science Technologies and Data Science teams. My focus was to help our research partners solve inefficient education research and improve learning engineering to tackle tough problems in K-12 education.

What are some things you enjoy doing outside of work?

Outside of work you'll find me playing with my 11 month old son. I love to write and have a side hustle doing technical blogging for a couple different companies. When I'm not writing or spending time with family, I'm coming up with original content for my TikTok and collecting Magic: The Gathering cards. I'm a PC gamer too.

What drew you to Kipsu in contrast to other companies?

Throughout the interview process, Kipsu seemed very team oriented. As I reached out to people at the company, everyone seemed friendly and dedicated so it seemed like a great place to work.

What were some things you noticed about the Kipsu team during your first week?

Everyone seems friendly, and there is a focus on collaboration. The onboarding process was allowed me to dive into the product and the data, and explained the product design processes in a way that was easy to understand.

What challenges are you looking forward to tackling in your work at Kipsu?

One of my hobbies is natural language processing, so I'm excited to work with all the text data. Ultimately, I want to help design tools and features that improves the end user's experience. I want to help improve internal and external analytics too.

What is your favorite Kipsu core value and why?

The core value Pursue Relentlessly resonates with me. I'm kind of a workaholic and always trying to achieve my personal goals. I've got numerous side hustles and am grinding in hopes of retiring early.

If you could pick any person for a chat over a shared dinner, who would you pick and why?

I would love to have dinner with Aristotle. I've always been fascinated with rhetorical theory, so I'd love to pick his brain and listen to him wax intellectual about ethos, pathos and logos.
