What were you up to before joining Kipsu? 

Prior to joining Kipsu, I worked in a variety of marketing roles and companies, from SaaS to commercial real estate, material handling and financial advising. As a copywriter in a past life, I've gravitated toward content marketing, but have also led a variety of teams and worked in demand generation, public relations and more.

What are some things you enjoy doing outside of work? 

I love to travel, read, and spend time with family and friends. In the summertime, you'll find me at Target Field watching the Twins, and in the winter, you'll find me curled up with a good book. Year-round, I attend theatre shows and concerts, and wrangle my two kids to whatever activities they have scheduled.

What drew you to Kipsu in contrast to other companies? 

I think a lot of companies talk about their "values-based approach" to business, but Kipsu actually walks their talk. Their focus on the customer is at the forefront of everything they do, and it makes for a truly mission-driven organization.

What were some things you noticed about the Kipsu team during your first week?

The authenticity and teamwork here is palpable. Everyone here is incredibly human, and takes a people-centric approach to what they do. There's no emphasis on hierarchy or red tape; everyone's here to get things done, and will work together to make sure our customers' experiences are the best they can be.

What challenges are you looking forward to tackling in your work at Kipsu?

I'm excited to get our message out to more and more people as we expand into new areas. Building a strong foundation and position in the market will enable us to really scale up and reach people we haven't been able to impact yet.

What is your favorite Kipsu core value and why?

I really resonate with "We Go Beyond, Together." I think it encapsulates what really sets Kipsu apart - that we are more than the sum of our parts. Kipsu's focus on inclusion, diversity, and breaking down barriers really resonates with me and my personal value system. It's the opposite of a cutthroat environment, and we see so much success because of it.

If you could pick any person for a chat over a shared dinner, who would you pick and why?

MacKenzie Scott - I'm in awe of her dedication to philanthropy, and appreciate her trust-based approach to giving. I'd love to hear more about her philosophy and selection criteria - and more about her as a person.
