Before coming to Kipsu to work in Customer Success, I had spent the last several working for my degree in Communications and receiving a certificate in American Sign Language Studies. While finishing up my education, I had been working in sales and then for the last couple of years I was working in hospitality, as a server and bartender.
Outside of work I love spending time with my family, being outside, reading a book or watching TV. I'm an avid thrift shopper and love exploring new places and restaurants. When the winter comes and I'm more of homebody, I love spending time with my cat and painting or drawing.
The values and culture are what really separated Kipsu from other companies. I could tell throughout my research and the interview process that this was a place that sought out fresh perspectives, valued individuality, and truly cared about the results they drive for their partners. There is no maintaining of a status quo at Kipsu, every person takes ownership of driving and creating something new or better.
I was really pleased when I first started to see all the different people and personalities that come together to make Kipsu what it is. I saw a pride in people for what they do and the way everything comes together that you don't always see in other companies.
I'm proud to be at a growing company. There has already been such a steady pace of 'OK, how do we ramp this process up while still maintaining the close relationships we have with our existing partners.' It's a balancing act I feel Kipsu has done really well up until this point and I look forward to being part of the customer relations here and maintaining the enthusiasm our partners have for what we offer.
Being someone that comes from hospitality, Think Customer First or Serve Others have always been the standouts for me. I just think that those are easy ones to say and very rarely do you actually get to work for a place that lives and breathes the user's satisfaction with the product. It's kind of all we talk about - and I love it.
For a choice of any dinner guest, I think I have to go with Taylor Swift. I feel like she probably knows everything about anything that's ever gone on at this point, and if she swears me to secrecy - I'm going to get some really great stories.
